Bookkeeper needed for our Pretoria office

Our established company is expanding and we are looking for a Bookkeeper or Accountant for our Pretoria office. 

Minimum requirements:

  • B Com  Accounting or related diploma
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Bookkeeper or an Accountant
  • Legal or finance background will be an advantage
  • The candidate must be fully computer-literate on the Microsoft Office suite, Sage One and Pastel programmes
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The candidate must be deadline driven, be able to work under pressure, be a team player and an individual performer
  • Own reliable transport
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Daily duties will include but not be limited to: 

  • Customer invoicing processing and management
  • Collection of payments
  • Matching invoices to payments
  • Supplier invoice processing and management
  • Reconciling account to statement
  • Petty cash processing
  • Checking expense claims to supporting documents
  • Processing expenses in Pastel
  • Credit card processing
  • Checking receipts to statement
  • Assisting with queries
  • Capturing new client information and updating of existing clients
  • General administration and other adhoc tasks
